Make sure you select a deck cleaner specifically manufactured for your type of decking and clear the area first.

For wooden decking, give the boards a gentle wash to remove cobwebs and excess dirt using soapy water and a sponge. Any tough stains can be removed with the scourer. Remember to always scrub along the grain, not against it. Be careful with a pressure washer, as the jet could splinter and damage natural wooden decking.
